Savement Foundation is seeking highly motivated and community-oriented individuals for the role of Panchayat Coordinator. We are scaling up our social development initiatives across Bihar and Jharkhand and require dedicated field leaders to mobilize communities and manage project delivery at the grassroots level.

About the Role: Panchayat Coordinator

The Panchayat Coordinator will be the frontline manager of Savement Foundation's diverse social welfare programs within an assigned cluster of Panchayats. This role involves direct community engagement, implementation oversight, and local stakeholder coordination to ensure the success of vital schemes designed for community benefit.

Key Program Areas You Will Manage:

You will be instrumental in the delivery of our key social initiatives, which include:

  • Kanyadaan Samman Yojana: Supporting families in facilitating dignified weddings for underprivileged girls..
  • Health Samman Yojana: Facilitating access to essential healthcare services and medical camps.
  • Education Samman yojna  : Facilitating access to essential Education  services and Reading camps.

Annadaan Yojana: The Savement Foundation's main objective is to provide food to economically weaker sections of families and other needy people. Also, it is to ensure that ration materials can be provided to needy families at the time of marriage, so that they can ensure their daughter's marriage."

  • And other related community development programs as assigned by the project management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Implementation: Execute project activities efficiently at the Panchayat level, ensuring all initiatives reach their targeted beneficiaries effectively.
  • Community Mobilization: Organize and lead community meetings, awareness camps, and events to educate locals about available yojanas (schemes) and encourage participation.
  • Data & Documentation: Meticulously collect beneficiary data, document impact stories, and maintain accurate records for reporting and auditing purposes (adhering to our ISO standards).
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Build strong, positive relationships with Panchayat leaders, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, local government officials, and community members.
  • Monitoring & Feedback: Continuously monitor project progress, troubleshoot field challenges, and report back to District/Block Incharges.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience in field mobilization, social work, or community project implementation, ideally within Bihar or Jharkhand.
  • Education: Minimum 12th pass required; a Graduate degree in Social Work, Rural Development, or related fields is highly preferred.
  • Language: Fluency in Hindi is mandatory. Proficiency in local languages/dialects of the respective state (Bhojpuri, Magahi, Maithili, etc.) is a significant advantage.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills, basic computer knowledge (data entry, WhatsApp, email), problem-solving ability, and a strong work ethic.

Attributes: Must be willing to travel extensively within rural areas and passionate about serving marginalized communities.

Position: Block Cluster Coordinator

The Block Cluster Coordinator will be the primary on-ground representative for the foundation within an assigned block (covering a cluster of villages). This role is vital for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of program-level activities, ensuring that projects meet their objectives and reach the intended beneficiaries effectively.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project Implementation: Oversee the daily implementation and operations of the project activities within the assigned block/cluster area.
  • Community Mobilization: Work closely with village communities, especially deprived and marginalized sections, to ensure their participation and ownership of the initiatives.
  • Coordination & Linkages: Act as the primary liaison between the foundation, community institutions (like Self-Help Groups – SHGs Create ), (Panchayats, Level Knyadaan yojna/swekcha Samman yojna / Health Samman yojna  Nidhi Bachat yojna /Education Samman yojna), and other stakeholders.
  • Supervision & Support: Monitor and provide handholding support to community workers and field teams, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and protocols.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Collect, manage, and analyze project-related data, submitting regular progress reports and documenting success stories and lessons learned.
  • Capacity Building: Organize and facilitate training sessions and awareness campaigns for beneficiaries and local groups on various thematic areas (e.g., health, nutrition, livelihoods, skill development).

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: A graduate degree in any discipline is required. A Post-graduate degree in Social Work, Rural Development, or a related field is desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in field implementation or working with grassroots community-based organizations (experience with SHGs is an advantage).
  • Language: Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in Hindi are essential. Familiarity with local dialects of Bihar/Jharkhand (e.g., Bhojpuri, Magahi, Maithili,Hindi) is a significant advantage.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, data management proficiency (basic computer applications), problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned block/district are crucial.
